The plastic continent by Manèle and Pauline

Located in the Pacific Ocean at the north , the continent plastic is called “ the seventh continent “ 

It is an enormous mass of plastic which is in the ocean .

It kills a lot of tortoises , a lot of sea birds and  a lot of other endangered species . 

The size of the plastic continent is enormous : it is 1,6 million kilometers , so 3 times that of France ! 

It was discovered  by Charles Moore in 1997 .

A vortex of rubbish of the Pacific north matches at the enormous mass rubbish place in ocean Pacific between Hawaï and California . 

It is one of the five zones of rubbish that you can find in this ocean. It forms what you call the seventh continent .
