London is the capital of Great Britain and home to the UK's royal family.

In London, there are many monuments like the British Museum or Buckingham Palace.

Things to see:



The Gherkin is a modern building in the center of London located at 30 St. Mary's It was officially opened to the public in 2004 although construction was completed in December 2013. It is the 18th tallest building in London.



It is the most famous museum in London. With over 7 million objects, it traces the history of mankind from its beginnings to the present day as an Egyptian collection from antiquity. With nearly 6 million visitors a year, it is the most popular tourist attraction in London, and in Britain!



Tower Bridge is the world's most famous bascule bridge and one of London's most famous landmarks along with the Palace of Westminster. Tower Bridge is in East London near the Tower of London.



It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in London. Buckingham Palace is named after the Duke of Buckingham. In 1703, this aristocrat built a private hotel, which was then called Buckingham House. In 1837, the house became the official royal palace of Queen Victoria.



Big Ben is the nickname for the large bell 13.5 tonnes at the top of the Elizabeth Tower, the clock tower of the Palace of Westminster, the seat of the British Parliament, in London. The tower was renamed to mark Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee in 2012. Previously, it was simply called the Clock Tower.



The London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, is a Ferris wheel that was installed in London for the year 2000 celebrations at the same time as the Millennium Dome in Greenwich. It is one of the tourist attractions in Europe to have received a Thea Award.
